Welcome to our new joiners this week! You have joined at the right time. The market is changing rapidly, and we are establishing three key pillars to create a combined edge in trading it.
All three pillars are helpful for both long-term investors and short-term swing traders, although you may choose to focus on a specific pillar depending on your own risk appetite and horizon.
The Three Pillars
Machine Learning Signals: You receive the signals every morning (many hours ahead), pre-NY market open to gauge an unemotional and unbiased risk assessment of the individual assets by our machine-learning models.
Market Technicals: You will receive a daily assessment of the market technicals through a combination of macro (Fed, rates, liquidity) analysis and advanced chart analysis. They include intraday behaviour of the specific assets as well, for practical execution purposes.
On Mondays, we present the big picture readings.
On Fridays, we deliver this via video.
Asset Profiles: You will soon see a series of individual deep dives of both macro assets (SPY, TLT, BTC etc) and individual equities (Mag-7s etc). The deep dives include both the quantitative and fundamental analysis of the asset.
They currently appear under our “Asset Spotlight” sections in the daily notes, but I will split them out individually and continuously update them every quarter.
As an ex-market maker at a global investment bank's trading desk and a Chartered Accountant (UK’s CPA equivalent), I genuinely believe we have all the tools we need to beat the market, without the complexity and noise of news headlines and contradictory market expert opinions.
The last thing to note is that while I don’t trade options, I do monitor the options market to gauge the market positioning. I will mention something if it catches my eye, but otherwise I will not comment on them.
The key to winning is clarity, methodology, and consistency.
