Fed policy, the Treasury curve, what markets are pricing, and the latest economic releases. The page updates itself every weekday, soon after the US data comes out.

Each day we score the moves across a wide set of markets against their own past year. Zero is an ordinary day. Readings beyond +2 or −2 are rare. The three factors combine those scores by what each market tends to respond to.
How much risk markets are willing to take. It reads equity, high-yield credit, and crypto prices. Rising equity volatility pulls it down.
How easy financial conditions are. It reads Treasury, inflation-protected bond, and high-yield credit prices. A stronger dollar or yen pulls it down.
How much inflation pressure markets are pricing. It reads energy, precious metal, industrial metal, and inflation-protected Treasury prices.
A short summary of where the three factors stand together, with the direction of the dollar. It describes the market of the day. It is not a forecast.
Every economic figure comes from the agency that publishes it. The page checks for new data every weekday by 14:00 London, after the 13:30 US releases. A series that has not updated keeps its last reading and date.
