This is one of the most surprising and perhaps hated bull markets we’ve seen. Surprising, given the macroeconomic uncertainties surrounding tariffs, jobs, and inflation. Hated, because A LOT of people missed it and failed to reconcile their version of how markets “should trade” with the reality of the market.

This is why, while I come from a macro trading background (interest rate & FX swaps), I have unlearnt my prior assumptions about how assets “should” trade with the macro.

Instead, I examine the actual relationships between the different assets through quantitative methods, making no assumptions about the type of relationships they must hold at any particular point in time. We further incorporate the asset-specific price behaviour, chart analysis, and fundamentals to arrive at the overall picture.

This way, we keep ourselves on the right side of the market, rather than the side of human bias.
